Strathall Kitchen
Stratford Hall Kitchen is the kitchen for the Lee Plantation, known as Stratford Hall Plantation. This separate amenity was the heart of the plantation and the home of the famous Ginger Cookies. This respected section of Stratford Hall Main House is an amazing piece of Stratford Hall history. Mostly prepared here, were homemade stews, soups, and breads. All food preparation was done in this small outer building. From sunup to sundown, activity abounds– preparing and cooking food was a laborious task. Workers were never idle, if the work had been completed, workers would have knitted or mended clothes, or completed another task.
