Sandy Point
In Sandy Point George Washington's mother spent her childhood in her guardians home, Colonel George Eskridge’s home. George Washington's mother, Mary Ball, married Augustine Washington. Augustine was a neighbor. Augustine was also a slave holder and a farmer. The marriage took place in Sandy Point. Later they had a baby. They named the baby George, in honor of Colonel George As we know,George became the first president of The United States.
